Sustainability on the Bus
Here is the list of Simple changes that have been employed on the bus to make it more Sustainable.
Simple Changes Tour Bus
Spring has sprung, and now it is time for The Simple Changes Tour to plant our garden.
As the garden will be part of the bus, we needed to come up with some fairly ingenious ways of making the garden viable while still living on the bus. Here is how this will all work.
The Simple Changes Tour Garden utilizes the Square Foot Method of gardening. What this does, is uses the maximum amount of planting space in smaller areas.

The Garden lives on the top platform of the bus while the sun is out, and we are not on the move. When the bus is in motion, is is fairly impossible to keep plants on top, so we move them inside and place them in front of a wide open window, as well as supplement their lighting with 4 56Watt CFL Light Bulbs. As the bus is running, and generates electricity, we are not using any of our precious battery power to light out Indoor Garden.
For planters, we opted to Re-Use old milk crates and line them with Re-Used Walmart shopping bags filled with soil. This makes it easy to carry them from inside to out.
